One-day Food photography and styling workshops in Surrey!
I’m so so excited and pleased to announce that along with my talented friend Anna from Anna Banana we will be hosting a one-day food photography workshop for beginner bloggers, from my home in Godalming, Surrey.
Date: 3rd March 2019 (10am-4pm)
Whether you are looking to create better images for your website, business, blog or Instagram, or you would like to learn how to take great images for your portfolio, this workshop will give you the tools you need to photograph great shots from your home without needing any fancy studio equipment.
What you will learn during this workshop
- Basic camera settings in manual mode
- How to shoot with natural light and manipulate it to your advantage
- How to style a food scene
- How to take ‘action’ shots
- Post-production and Lightroom basics
What else is included?
The day will also include (besides a whole bunch of laughter and fun) a friendly lunch around big studio table where you will have the chance to chat and get to know the other participants. Teas and coffees will be available throughout the day.
All the props will be provided by us on the day, giving you a chance to create your ideal food scene. You just need to bring your camera and laptop (optional) with you.
Spaces are limited, so make sure to secure your spot by sending an email to firstname.lastname@example.org
Full payment required upon booking. Payments are non-refundable. Payments via bank transfer.
Have any questions about this workshop? Send an email to either email@example.com or myself firstname.lastname@example.org and we will be happy to answer them!
How to Get to Godalming, Surrey
Godalming is a beautiful little town situated south of Guildford (If you have seen The Holiday, the town scene was filmed just off our High Street). There is a direct train line from London Waterloo – Portsmouth Harbor. Please let us know if you need a lift from Godalming station?
Where to stay
Air B&B is always a good option, but if you want to make a little trip out of it then have a look at these gastro pubs that offer accommodation. Please let us know if you will be needing a lift on Sunday morning?
Stag on the River –(The Stag is not in Godalming, so if you prefer a quiet country spot with beautiful walks and log fires this is the spot!)
Shopping in Godalming
If you are staying in Godalming, then take advantage of shopping our many charity shops for props. As much as the locals don’t like the High Street to be littered with charity stores, I love it because I’ve found many a gem in them.
Wattle and Daub is a beautiful independent home store which is very well known in the area. It is owned by my lovely friend Gemma and besides stocking gorgeous original items which again are perfect for styling, she also has incredible workshops running through out the year.
